Each browser captures its own microphone at 8 kHz / 16-bit uncompressed PCM and uploads it chunk-by-chunk, verified by hash before a session is accepted. Monolingual conversations; delivery is gated on the §4 two-hour per-speaker cap. Consent is handled separately by email.
Only speakers with capacity left under the 2-hour cap are listed. Leaving a slot unbooked still records: the speaker is registered as a walk-in, but their demographics are self-declared rather than confirmed at recruitment, which §4 can treat as a profile mismatch.
“Hours” is delivered speech duration, not file length (§1). The band is 50:50 ±10 pp of delivered hours; past 65:35 we are obliged to tell Centific (§4).
§4.1 needs a speakerId stable across every file a person appears in; §4 caps each speaker at 2 speech hours and requires us to stop booking them at that point. Consent is handled separately by email and is not tracked here.
